As Chairperson it is my sad duty to inform you that our
Federation President Mr Gerry Clarke
passed away suddenly early this morning, November the 1st.
We have lost a true Wolfhound Man and a breed specialist in the true meaning of the word, who knew his breed inside out and could recite from memory,
Wolfhound Pedigrees going back generations and decades.
Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks as they struggle through this dark time in their lives.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis (May his noble soul be at Gods right side)
Sincerely
Marcello Poli
Welcome...
The Federation of European Irish Wolfhound clubs was founded in 1994 with the intention of fostering cooperation between those clubs that utilised the common Irish Wolfhound standard of the FCI. Some twenty years later we anticipate that Irish Wolfhound clubs outside of Europe will join with us; no longer will we be exclusively European so our logo and name must change to reflect our wider world.
Welcome to the Federation of Irish Wolfhound Clubs

Dear FIWC delegates, Boardmebers and others,
The ongoing Covid pandemic forced us to once again rethink the possibilities of organizing the next FIWC Congress and show in the Czech Republic in 2021.
With the restrictions getting rather worse than better in most European countries, both the Czech club and the FIWC board have decided to postpone
the FIWC Congress and show for yet another year, till 2022.
For now, the Czech club would like to propose the date of 7. - 11. July 2022, same venue and generally the same schedule, speakers and judges as planned
for the originally approved date 2. - 5. 7. 2020.
Because of the currently unstable situation there might be some changes necessary later on, which we would discuss with you as soon as the pandemic will allow us to start the preparations again.
Thanks for your understanding. Warm regards.
Marcello Poli – FIWC chairman
